Hello Semiahmoo Lacrosse families,

 

I wanted to provide a lacrosse update to all of our players, coaches and families. The BC Lacrosse Association has recently outlined return to play guidelines for box lacrosse.  The guidelines were developed with the safety of the players and coaches in mind.  They are comprehensive and only allow basic skill development without contact, goalies or games. Our executive team has extensively reviewed the BCLA guidelines as well as the City of White Rock’s guidelines. We have consulted with many families and coaches and made the decision not to organize any Semiahmoo sanctioned events.

 

Having said that, Taylor Box has recently opened and we encourage all players to use the box as much as possible. The City of White Rock has posted signs indicating the rules for using the box. Please abide by the rules to keep everyone safe.

 

I have spoken with the Surrey Warriors and they are making plans to start the field lacrosse season early this year.  We encourage players to sign up for the field season and we will keep you posted when registration opens.

 

Once again, I want to thank everyone for your patience during these challenging times.  This has not been easy for any of us. I hope to see all of you next spring for the 2021 box lacrosse season.
